Situated on a fruit farm in the peaceful and scenic Houw Hoek Valley, surrounded by mountains & close to the Whale Coast as well as the Walker Bay Wine Route and other wine tasting areas of the Western Cape. Wildekrans offers bed and breakfast and self catering accommodation. Wildekrans dates back to the late 1700's when it was first established as a farm and stop over for weary travelers. The Old Homestead situated in a magnificent English country garden has three bedrooms all en suite. Birch Cottage set in the garden, sleeps two or four persons. Oak Tree Cottage is set outside the main garden on the edge of a pear orchard. This cozy cottage has two bedrooms, the lounge dining area has a fire place and a small kitchen.

They invite you to come and experience some of the finest mountain biking terrain in the Western Cape, where the combination of rolling orchards, mountainous fynbos and forested pine slopes ensure a unique riding experience. As a complete beginner, you have a choice of a number of marked trails, as a more advanced rider we offer challenging ascents with plenty of single track through shady pine forest. Our close proximity to Cape Town means that you can either come out for a day of riding or make a weekend of it, covering all the trails on offer.The Elgin Valley for 4 x 4 - troutīs fruit picking, trout fishing and picnics. Experience the art of Fly - fishing in well - stocked dams, pick apples, pears, plums (seasonal) off Elgin trees, and enjoy a delicious picnic.
