Mtunzini, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
Villa
Piér is the ultimate in alternative lifestyle. The guesthouse has been
newly erected and is situated north of the Tugela River in Northern
Zululand. Your hosts for the duration of your stay are David and Stefan.
Villa Piér boasts an ultra modern international setting, offering four
to six en-suite rooms as well as a superb naturally heated pool in a
well-manicured garden. These superb tranquil surroundings make you feel
at home immediately. The peace and quiet of nature is such a soothing
sound. Hear the haunting cry of the African Fish Eagle – you might even
be lucky enough to spot one soaring in the sky above while you relax in

There
are 6 double rooms available at the Guest House. Each room is fully
airconditioned with a sophisticated LG ArtCool air-conditioner, making
even the most humid day quite bearable. A small TV with local and
satellite channels. All rooms have an en-suite shower, toilet and
basin, designed to be functional and comfortable. Your room will vary
slightly from your neighbours - thus we ensure a uniqueness per room
that departs from the typical boutique-style of accommodation. Pool
towels are available in each room, along with suitable cupboard space,
a number of hangers and basic toiletries (stock dependant).
We
are situated in the small coastal village of Mtunzini (literally
translated: “place in the shade”). The village is situated
approximately 140 kilometers north of Durban International Airport on
route (N2) to Empangeni and Richards Bay. This route will also take you
to the renowned Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, which is about an
hour’s drive from the Guest House. We boast some of the best-kept
secrets in Zululand, like our unspoilt and pristine beaches that can be
enjoyed all year round. This also forms part of the Sibaya Coastal
Reserve. The village also boasts its own game/conservancy reserve known
as the Umlalazi Game Reserve. Access to the beach is restricted through
this reserve, which means that the beaches are private and in pristine
condition, with well-maintained facilities.
