All guest cottages, with exquisite interior décor, have verandahs with superb views. DSTV and barbecue facilities are available. All cottages have mini-bar facilities. The larger two consist of two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, large living / dining room with fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. The smaller guest cottage has one bedroom, sitting / dining room, bathroom and a fully equipped self-catering accommodation kitchen.

The self-catering cottages are ideally situated near the water sports of the Midmar Dam and its famous Midmar Mile. Ideally located for parents with students at schools such as Michaelhouse, Hilton, St Anne's and others. Toad Hall Cottages is located in the Natal Midlands in the heart of the Midlands Meander. The Midlands Meander is what weavers, potters, woodcrafters, leather workers, artists, metalworkers, box makers, herb growers, cheese makers, beer brewers and pianos have in common. You will find them all, and a great deal more on the Midlands Meander map - South Africa's first, largest and most popular art and crafts route. There is plenty to do in the area too. Walks in the Drakensberg mountains, visits to bushman paintings, horse trails though a private game reserve, canoe trips, canopy tours and the Midlands Meander to mention but a few.
