to their home in Oudtshoorn on the Garden Route and invite you to stay
a while as you explore the Klein Karoo and surrounding areas. This
cosy country guest house is a haven of peace and tranquillity, set in
the captivating surroundings of the Olifants River valley and is
perfectly situated for exploring Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of
the world, and many of the scenic attractions offered by the Klein
Karoo and Garden Route.

Relax
in one of four double, en-suite rooms or the double, twin bedded
en-suite, all of which have private entrances. All bedrooms are
air-conditioned, Smoking or non smoking rooms are available according to
your preference. Cherished memories will be kept sacred as your hosts
pamper you with romantic candlelight dinners and their special Karoo
cuisine. As our guests you will enjoy a full English breakfast on the
patio while being delighted by the sights and sounds of chirping birds
and shimmering fountain.
We
offer a unique private ostrich farm tour as well as a visit to
Thylitshia Villa's winery for wine tasting which is included into the
B&B rate - if you make sure you arrive no later than 16h00 to make
the tour on the farm at 16h30. The sparkling swimming pool beckons
after a day exploring the Cango Caves or riding ostriches at one of
the world class Ostrich Show Farms in the area. Braai (barbeque)
facilities are available for those who like to do it themselves, or if
you prefer, the host and hostess will pamper you with a romantic
candle lit dinner of ostrich steaks. The Farm Thylitshia is a working
ostrich and wine farm, and in addition to the comfortable surroundings
of the guest accommodation, we offer a full range of farm activities.
Guests are treated to a private tour of the farm starting with the
incubators where visitors can experience chicks hatching, and working
through the various stages of development leading to the adult birds.
The tour ends with a wine tasting at the farms exclusive winery, and a
chance to sample Thys' special "witblitz" distilled on the
farm. The winery includes conference facilities for 80 delegates with
phone, fax, photocopy and internet access.
