elephant, rhinoceros, leopard, giraffe, zebra, nyala, hyenas,
crocodile, kudu, wildebeest and a spectacular variety of other
indigenous species, great and small. The re-introduction of a
family herd of elephant in August 1999 marks the historic return of
these great creatures to the area for the first time in 100 years. The
fences between Thula Thula and the Umfolozi Game Reserve are soon to
be taken down, making Thula Thula part of the largest game reserve in
KwaZulu Natal. Lion, hyena and many other species of mammals
will roam freely between the two parks. Game walks are guided by
experienced trackers. Game drives are conducted in open landrovers by
our professional rangers
