Thula Thula - Accommodation in Empangeni Environs, KwaZulu-Natal, South AfricaThula Thula is home to a diverse African wildlife population, including elephant, rhinoceros, leopard, giraffe, zebra, nyala, hyenas, crocodile, kudu, wildebeest and a spectacular variety of other indigenous species, great and small.  The re-introduction of a family herd of elephant in August 1999 marks the historic return of these great creatures to the area for the first time in 100 years. The fences between Thula Thula and the Umfolozi Game Reserve are soon to be taken down, making Thula Thula part of the largest game reserve in KwaZulu Natal.  Lion, hyena and many other species of mammals will roam freely between the two parks. Game walks are guided by experienced trackers. Game drives are conducted in open landrovers by our professional rangers
