This lovely home has comfortable en-suite bedrooms with french doors leading onto a patio, and 2 luxury rooms in a converted weaving-shed, both with King-size beds, which can be made up as twins, the larger with a Victorian bath and shower and a magnificent view of the mountains, the smaller with shower and a view from the verandah while the lounge and dining room - each with fireplaces - lead onto the verandah overlooking the sweeping garden and majestic Swartberg.

Enjoy peaceful walks along the charming lanes of the Groenfontein valley, climb into the foothills of the Swartberg, or simply relax at the pool and let the peace and silence soak into your soul. The retreat at Groenfontein is situated 20km north-east of Calitzdorp and 59km west of Oudtshoorn on its own winding road into a kloof with no passing traffic. The property borders on Cape Nature Conservation land, the Swartberg Nature Reserve and is traversed by the crystal clear Nel's River, which rises in the Swartberg mountains and feeds the Calitzdorp dam. There are numerous trails and walks into the kloofs or onto the mountains.
