In 1910 it was known as Bellevue and used as a guest house by Mr and Mrs C van Hoogstraten who promised'cleanliness and unobtrusive attention'.The spacious and romanic Courtyard Room withen-suite bathroom and original rustic log beams is in a separate cottage which has been lovingly renovated and restored.

Breakfast is served in the secluded courtyard between the cottage and the main house in the shade of a magnificent camphor tree with wonderful views across the valley to the Groot Drankenstein and Franschhoek Mountains.
