decorated rooms. St Francis Bay on the Garden Route - is a picturesque
village encircled by a nature reserve, the Kromme River and the Indian
Ocean. It is renowned for its distinctive architecture of white
walled, thatched roofed houses and beautiful marina, all in a
crime-free area. For golfers, Thatchwood is ideally situated on the St
Francis Bay golf course with the sixth and eighth tee almost in the
garden - tee off only two minutes away from your breakfast!

a private garden. On warm summer days you can relax at the poolside, whilst
the cosy lounge invites friendly conversation around the fireplace in winter.
The lodge is fully licensed an guests are invited to help themselves at the
honesty bar. Superb meals are available on request, with buffet breakfasts
being served on the patio to the accompaniment of birdsong provided by the
prolific birdlife in the natural vegetation surrounding the lodge.
Go
hiking; go on a hunting safari; take a sunset cruise or enjoy one of
the many other attractions listed below. Non-golfers can also
enjoy the course: the fairways are a scenic stroll to the unspoilt
beaches, where you can watch dolphins and whales. And if you want to
see the real Africa with the Big 5, Addo
Elephant Park and Shamwari Game Reserve are only a short drive away
from them and in a Malaria free area.
