This former home of a mining family has been meticulously transformed into a luxurious haven for the discerning traveller and business executive. Teremok means "little hideaway" in Russian - a  name still applicable upon its conversion into a boutique lodge in 2002 - and, despite its proximity to the beach and accessibility to amenities, it's an oasis of serenity. Its meticulous transformation ensured that both the rich history and spatial quirkiness of Teremok were retained and expanded upon, and the end result is a place rich with character, texture and light.

Spacious rooms each boast their own balcony offering breathtaking sea views or a vantage point of the park-like garden. Hands-on owners ensure that personalised service and attention to detail are mandatory in this five star establishment. Each individually decorated room offers extra length beds (twin or king size), handcrafted ceiling fans, air conditioning and, while most have a separate entrance, each has its own private balcony. The open plan bathrooms have a large shower, freestanding bath, double basins and a separate toilet and bidet. Extras include a home entertainment system with DVD player and flat screen TV as well as free ADSL internet connection..

The Wellness Centre is equipped with cardio-vascular equipment (including upright and recumbent bicycles and a treadmill) and free weights that may be used free of charge. The Wellness Centre is open from 05h00 to 22h00. A treatment room can also be found in the Wellness Centre and a personal trainer or therapist (also available after hours) can be booked on behalf of guests. Treatments available include a combination of the following therapies: Swedish Massage (Deep Tissue Massage), General Massage, Acupressure (Shiatsu), Reiki, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. Situated within an easy 200m walk to the beach. Teremok is situated only 3km from Gateway (the largest shopping complex in the Southern Hemisphere) which boasts a large choice of shopping, eateries and entertainment (including 24 cinemas, Imax, The Barnyard Theatre, the highest indoor rock-climbing wall in the world, the Wavehouse, a skatepark, a 4x4 track etc).  The following activities are available within 20km of Teremok: golf, nature trails, scuba diving, horseriding among others.
