Sithela Country Estate - Accommodation near Port Edward, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
This
large family estate, established 23 years ago, is nestled high on a
hill overlooking the warm Indian Ocean and is partially surrounded by
its own private conservation area bordering on Glenmore. Sithela is a
home away from home and one can expect a warm welcome, attention to
detail and friendly hospitality. We expect our guests to relax,
“kick off their shoes”, and make themselves at home. Sithela, is
8km north of Port Edward and 11km from the Wild Coast, 70km from
Bizana & approximately 22km south of Margate. A bird & nature
lover’s paradise, Sithela is an ideal getaway for smaller families
and groups, and a convenient stopover for the businessman.

Accommodation
offered in the main house comprises comfortable double and twin bedded
en suite rooms, with sea views, both have their own entrance onto the
front lawn. Set in the garden adjoining the house is a bedroom, now
self catering, with full bathroom en-suite, plus a kitchen, suitable
for a small family of four with sea view, and a large comfortable
rondavel en-suite sleeping three people, plus a kitchen, as well as a
two bed roomed cottage with bathroom, lounge, dining room and small
kitchen, should you wish to cater for yourself. Both the rondavel and
cottage overlook a delightful private dam, home of bass and numerous
species of bird life. Tariffs (for double rooms only) include a full
English breakfast, served in the family dining room overlooking the
Indian Ocean. A large lounge and patio area is available for guests to
relax in.
A
variety of restaurants locally will cater for all tastes and your
hosts will attend to any reservations you may require. Visitors are
most welcome at the local Sports Clubs where facilities for bowls,
tennis and squash are offered and golfers can enjoy any one of five
magnificent courses found in close proximity. There are two Parks
Board nature reserves close by for wind surfing, fishing, hiking and
bird-watching. Only 12 km from Wild Coast Sun Hotel Casino and Country
Club. Safe parking, private swimming pool on premises.
