The Royal Hotel - Accommodation in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
The
Royal Hotel's principle of uncompromising service and unfailing
hospitality has always been a cornerstone in it's 150 years of existence.
During these years it has been this ethos that has carried it from
strength to strength through a colourful and, at times, tumultous
evolution. At The Royal we believe that the real ingredient of lasting
hotel excellence cannot be bought. This is because it is service that
makes the difference and high standards first have to be cultivated and
then continuously refined. It is this commitment that has made us one of
the foremost hotels in the world.

With
the new Royal Blue look having been implemented throughout the Hotel,
one will find the Royal's rooms luxuriously appointed in yellowwood
and graciously complemented by rich, sophisticated colour schemes,
hence creating a harmonious contrast with the dark woods and the cream
tones. Tea and Coffee facilities have also been introduced,
re-enforcing our goal to ensure a convenient stay for all. The Royal
also provides a floor of accommodation for those women travelling
alone, as well as non-smoking floors. All in all, the hotel contains
some 250 bedrooms and 22 suites (including two penthouses) which
either overlook the Point Yacht Club and Bay or the gracious City
Hall.
Sight
seeing tours can be arranged and offer a visit to African Cultural
Villages, sites of historical interest or pass the day on one of
Durban's famous sandy beaches. Evenings can be spent at a nearby
casino or take a trip to the theatre to see Africa theme performances.
Game Park safaris are within driving distance and one can have the
chance of spotting one of Africa's Big Five Game animals. There are
numerous sporting facilities available in the area, play golf at one
of the worlds top 100 golf courses at the Durban Country Club, or take
a boat trip to see the dolphins catching the waves, maybe catch a view
of the Hump Back Whale. Deep sea diving off the Aliwal Shoal to view
the numerous fish or take a trip to catch one of the game fish off the
coast.
