Klein Oliphants Hoek Accommodation in
Franschhoek, Western Cape, a former old English Mission Station dating
1888, has a very special atmosphere about it and Camil and Ingrid’s
relaxed style makes you feel immediately at home. Camil’s food, which
is prepared in an open kitchen on an old wood-stove, is matched
perfectly with the best wines of the valley, making every meal a
unique private gourmet experience. The Franschhoek Valley is one of the
most beautiful areas of the Cape with a rich and fascinating history.
Once known as Oliphantshoek because of the hundreds of elephants that
roamed the area; it later became the home of the French Huguenots who
brought with them their age-old French culture of wines and cuisine
