Nestled
at the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains the little town reflects
the versatile South African society in all its diversity. Beautiful
Victorian style houses set in a street with flowering jacarandas is
one of the characteristics of "the jacaranda capital of the
Western Cape". Another one is a town life in pace with the good
life of the land. The Robertson Valley incorporates many unexpected
activities, attractions and places of interest. Besides various:
Hiking, 4x4 and Horse trails. An amazing collection of colorful
(exotic) birds. Fabulous succulent gardens. Indigenous game reserve
and Nature Reserves. The world’s largest hedge-maze. Golf at the 18-hole Silver Strand Golf Course.
... and many more things to see and to do. and ... Robertsonians like
to spoil their guests with beauty treatments; aroma therapy; hair
dressing; massage, etc. There are restaurants in all classes from a
simple ‘fish and chips’ to an exquisite 5* restaurant. Unlike many
other tourist orientated towns Robertson is not a
‘one-night-stand’. The average visitor stays at least three nights
and still ‘complains’ not to have the chance to experience it all.
No wonder that a second visit usually results in accommodation
bookings for one week or more.
