Potties B&B was established to attract hangliding and paragliding enthusiasts from around the world to enjoy a unique flying experience in de Aar while enjoying the local sights. Facilities at Potties include a swimming pool, braai/barbacue area, laundry & ironing service, faxing & internet connection, vault on premises for small valuables. An English breakfast plus small continental buffet are offered and home cooked dinners are available by prior arrangment. Potties B&B has 5 rooms available. All rooms have 2 twin beds & bathroom en-suite. 2 rooms have a bath & the other 3 have showers. All rooms have DSTV, ceiling fans, extra blankets, heaters and coffee/tea facilities.

Paragliding in De Aar is excellent as this semi-dessert area offers extremely good flying conditions and supplies a record distance flying site to hang/paragliding pilots from all around the world. The School offers: Tandem flights: Fly with an experienced tandem pilot. Introductory paragliding courses: Includes 5 solo flights from the winch, sahpa temporary membership, equipment hire / theory class / "groundcontrol", plus 1 tandem flight. Basic licence course: (Licensed Paraglider Pilot): qualify you to fly solo at basic rated sites in South Africa. Course includes: 35-40 solo flights max, theory lectures, hire of school equipment, winch launch training, winching, all practical requirments, mountain flying training, theory test & SAHPA membership
