Make your overnight stop part of your holiday. Plover Cottage caters for the overnight traveler and those visiting Bloemfontein who prefer the peace and quite of the country to the noisy city. There are seven en-suite rooms available for guests with two rooms in the Weaver Cottage and five rooms in the large Plover Cottage. The cottages are furnished with antique and collectable furniture with heaters and extra blankets in each room for the cool winter nights. Your hosts occupy the Heron Cottage. The large Plover Cottage offers a comfortable lounge area and dining room for guests that leads onto a large patio.

The area is steeped in Anglo Boer War history and even has a British Camp excavation on the property and offers interesting walks and crystal clear night skies. There is a 9 hole golf course nearby and the Modder River and neighboring farms provide a true country setting with calming night sounds. Tour the Battlefields or enjoy the game drives from Plover Cottage to the nearby nature reserve. Hiking, bird watching, horse riding and fishing. We look forward to meeting you. Children welcome.
