Situated fifteen kilometres from the pretty Boland village of Robertson and nestled in the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains, the PAT BUSCH Private Nature Reserve is only one and a half hours scenic drive from Cape Town. We offer the nature lover a wonderful opportunity to explore our hidden valleys and to admire the 2000 hectares of spectacular mountain scenery. Our recently established Klaas Voogds Game Reserve (±300ha) is adjacent to and compliments our mountain Nature Reserve. Situated in the lower lying foothills of the Langeberg, the Game Reserve is home to re-introduced antelope such as Springbuck, Bontebok, Hartebees, Oryx, Fallow Deer, Rhebok, Eland, Zebra, Black Wildebeest and Ostrich. The majority of the flora is comprises of Renosterbos, Pioniersbos, Spekboomveld and Cape Mountain Fynbos as well as Kameeldoring thorn and olive trees in the riverbeds. Our guide will be pleased to safari you through the reserve in an open game-viewing vehicle.

Pat Busch Private Nature Reserve - Accommodation near Robertson, Western Cape, South AfricaOur self catering accommodation is in 3,4 and 5 double bedroom furnished farmhouses with fireplaces, and one room semi-detached cottages with fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms with showers and/or baths. All bedding and linen is supplied, only towels need to be brought. We also offer a rustic banquet hall, seating ± 50 people which can be booked for functions. There are 9 cottages from which you can choose, depending on the number of people staying. Our rates range between R90 - R150 per person depending on length of stay and whether a week-day or week-end booking.

Pat Busch Private Nature Reserve - Accommodation near Robertson, Western Cape, South AfricaOur farms operate as deciduous fruit and wine farms supplying to the canning industry and the Ashton co-op wine cellar respectively. In 2002 we completed renovations to old out buildings and converted them into an antique wine cellar. Following traditional winemaking methods antique pumps, open maceration tanks and a wooden basket press were used to vinify our first vintage (2002) of RUSTICUS wines. Cellar tours and wine tastings at "RUSTICUS of the land" would be our pride and pleasure. Hiking - Approx. 40km of hiking trails through 2,500 ha of unspoilt natural Cape Fynbos. Trails meander along clear mountain streams, rock pools and up through the valleys and foothills to the top of the Langeberg mountains. Bird watching - over 120 species. Cycle your bike though orchards and vineyards, swim in the dam or take your 4x4 over our 6km route. Klaas Voogds Game Reserve - Join a game drive, where you can see Eland, Bontebok, Hartebees, Springbok, Wildebeest, Gemsbok, Fallow Deer, Ostrich, Zebra and various other small animals. Massage therapy - take time out to enjoy a massage with our own resident therapist. The farm is situated in the picturesque Klaas Voogds Valley which offers guests exciting activities. Visit the Sheilam Cactus Farms, the Soekershof Maze - one of the largest hedge mazes in the world and enjoy fine cuisine at the Fraai Uitzicht restaurant. Other attractions in the area include the well-known Robertson Wine Route, a leading golf course only fifteen kilometres away or visit the Montagu Hot Springs. Simply explore the area and discover the many wonders our corner of the Boland has to offer.
