Naries Guest Farm - Accommodation near Springbok, Northern Cape, South Africa

Naries Guest Farm is an Accommodatin situated at the edge of great Southern African Escarpment, near Springbok, Northern Cape, where a dramatic drop of 700m takes you to the Sandveld and the Atlantic Ocean 70 km beyond. Within easy driving distance of the Richtersveld Park, Port Nolloth, Goegap Nature Reserve, the 19th century copper towns of Okiep and Nababeep, the Kamiesberg mountains and skilpad Flower Reserve, Naries is a veld and bird lover's paradise. Naries, although still in the midst of a process of veld rehabilitation, play host to some 50 Springbok, 9 Gemsbok and a number of Klipbok. Plans are underway to bring back the Ribbok and Zebras which once roamed its hills. Naries finds itself on the border between the diamond and copper mining regions of Namaqualand. At night the lights of the Niegramoep copper mine can be seen to the north of the viewpoint, whilst those of Kleinzee (diamonds) are visible to the west.

Accommodation in the Farmhouse include four double bedrooms with bathrooms, large living room, music, TV, VCR and video library. Full breakfast and candlelit dinner. House wine served with dinner. The self catering farm cottage, sleeps five people in comfort - two double bedrooms and one single with two bathrooms. Fully equipped with TV, stove, fridge and braai facilities.

Naries guest farm is open all year round. Activities include hiking and horse trails through the rugged mountain terrain and along river beds provide the opportunity to observe the variety of flora, rare succulents and other species such as the Oliefantsvoet and Bushman Candles.Guests also have the opportunity to choose from 9 custom made tours and experience Naries & Namaqualand.All tours are conducted by experienced accredited guides; equipped with the latest outdoor equipment, ranging from air-conditioned four-wheel drive vehicles to inflatable mattresses, hot showers and sumptuous “veld-cuisine”.
