My Housy is set in the spectacular sandstone foothills of
the Maluti mountains in Ladybrand in the Free State. It is an ideal stop over
point for weary travellers on the Highland Route, this being a safe and
scenic route through the Eastern Free State bordering Lesotho. It is also
an ideal base from which to explore the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho.

There
are eight charming bedrooms with en suite showers, separate entrance,
television, oil heaters and electric blankets. All rooms have TV,
electric blanket, heater, tea tray and separate entrance leading out
onto a secluded shady and peaceful garden. Bushman paintings, the
Lesotho Kingdom, the Lesotho Highland water scheme project and Golden
Gate all within easy reach. Restaurant nearby. Airport transfers.

Generous farm breakfasts are served outside in good weather and dinner
can be arranged at nearby restaurants. Visitors can stroll
through the town and the nearby forest or climb the ridge for a
splendid view of the area. There are world renowned Bushmen paintings
in the area as well as sites of historical importance that can be
visited. Horse riding, hikes or leisurely picnics are also options for
the guests. This is the place of crisp fresh air where you can can
still breath with an open mouth!
