Montagu Vines - Accommodation in Montagu, Western Cape. Montagu Vines is situated in the historic conservation area of Montagu. Our main home was built between 1900 and 1910 and is Victorian in design. The newly built garden rooms overlooking the serene gardens and wine producing vineyard complement the stately Victorian home and offer our guests a taste of old fashioned comfort and luxury in the heart of the historic rich town of Montagu on the world famous Route 62.

All the rooms are tastefully decorated, have fireplaces, heated towel rails and satellite television.  Guests can relax in the cosy guest lounge or on the verandah overlooking the gardens and vineyard. The newly built garden rooms are tastefully decorated and include fireplaces, heated towel rails and satellite television offering our guests old fashioned comfort with modern conveniences. The en-suite rooms and verandah overlook the tranquil garden and producing vineyard with the spectacular mountains in the background. After a tiring day of touring our guests can relax at our lovely splash pool, on the verandah or under the shady old oak tree and enjoy a glass of our Chenin Blanc wine produced from the grapes of our own vineyard.

We are only a stones throw away from the mountain reserve which has some popular hiking trails. A visit to the nearby relaxing hot springs resort is a must, as is the world famous mountain tractor ride and 'potjie' lunch which takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays - but booking is essential. Montagu offers something for everyone. There's golf, tennis, bowls, horse and camel riding, hiking, rock climbing, off-road adventures, nearby game lodges and a variety of nature and herb gardens. Our guests can stroll through the town with its historic buildings and friendly townsfolk or they can visit the museum and learn about the rich heritage and history of Montagu. Montagu is ideally situated to further explore the Robertson Valley with its many wine estates and the Breede River and environs and other popular tourist attractions in and around the neighbouring towns along Route 62.
