Malherbe guesthouse is a National Monument and was built in 1859. The house has been lovingly restored and offers 4 en-suite rooms, 2 with private patios. The guest lounge overlooks the lovely secluded garden with beautiful views of the Langeberg mountains. Take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool or laze in the shade in a comfortable lounge chair. In the morning a scrumptious breakfast (with homemade bread and fresh orange juice) is served on the terrace under the vines overlooking the garden or indoors. There is plenty to do in the area too. Golfing at any of three excellent golf courses nearby. Sport. E.g. Squash, tennis, rock climbing, fishing, horse riding. The Natural Hot mineral springs situated 2,7 km from the guesthouse offers outdoor swimming pools fed from a natural spring which provides water at an initial temperature of 43°C. Relax in the pools with its "healing powers". Walking trails for the nature lover varying from 2,4 km to 15,6 km through the beautiful kloof of the surrounding mountains. Montagu tractor and trailer trip to the summit of the Langeberg mountains is a must. Enjoy the serenity of the Klein Karoo, where the sun is always shining.
