Lekkerwijn
offers three double bedrooms and one single bedroom for bed and
breakfast accommodation. The rates during the summer season (October
to April) are between R380 and R480 per person sharing per night and
lower in other seasons. Visa and major credit cards are accepted.
For visitors wishing to self-cater for a longer stay, there is a
cottage which sleeps 2 with a bed for a child. All guests are welcome
to use the plunge pool.
There
is much to do at Lekkerwijn and in the surrounding areas:
Visit the local historical towns including Franschhoek, Stellenbosch,
and Paarl.Go for walks above Franschhoek, on the mountainside, or on
the Arboretum walk in Paarl along the Berg River.Go for winetasting on
horseback though the Robertsvlei forests, or Trout fishing up at the
head of the valley.
For longer trips you can drive to Cape Town (50 minutes away) and
visit the Peninsula, the Waterfront Development, the Aquarium, the
National Botanic Gardens at Kirstenbosch. Or drive to Hermanus (1 and
a half hours away) for whale watching.
For the experienced traveller, Lekkerwijn has that one extra facility:
it is ideal to relax for a day: read in the calming courtyard, stroll
through the garden, sit beside the pool with a book with only the
peacocks and guinea fowl to disturb you in the evening.
