The 4-star, 53 bedroomed lodge, forms part of the Kleine Zalze Wine Estate, which offers award-winning wines, a magnificent restaurant Terroir featuring Provencal classics blended with some local influence and traditions, a unique function venue set in a wine cellar, a 140-seater conference facility, vineyard walks and a swimming pool. Although the lodges offers all the regular comforts associated with a 4-star facility, the units also have satellite television and kitchens or kitchenettes complete with microwave, Dish Washer, cutlery and crockery. Kleine Zalze borders Stellenbosch Country Club and is opposite Stellenbosch Square, which offers shoppers an array of restaurants, boutiques and retail outlets.

One of the pleasures of golf estate living is, of course, the golf course. At De Zalze, that means an international standard course by top designer Peter matkovich. This parklands course, overlooked by the towering Helderberg Mountains and surrounded by rolling vineyards, provides a serene setting with stunning mountain views. The Blaauwklippen River meanders through the course, coming into play at some of the holes and providing challenges to amateur and professional alike, such as the par-3 third hole with its fairway paralleling the riverbank. 4 Kilometres away is the historic town of Stellenbosch with its rich cultural heritage, classic Cape architecture and eclectic mix of unique shops, art galleries and world famous wine estates. Within a 20 to 30 minute drive, are the beaches of Strand and Gordons Bay and the picturesque Franschhoek Valley. Wedding ceremonies can be held in our gardens, provided, that your marriage officer is willing to conduct the ceremony in a garden.
