Joie
de Virve Country House is located 3,4 km off the N1 Highway, 25 minutes
from Cape
Town, providing easy access to the Franschhoek, Paarl and
Stellenbosch wine routes. Joie de Virve Country House is a thatched haven
nesteld in lush Boland farmland surrounded by historic vineyards. Joie de
Virve offers 12 indivudually decorated double rooms and a suite, all
named after wine estates in the area. All rooms have en suite bathrooms,
televisions and coffee/tea making facilities. Bed and breakfast with
optional ``Table d'hôte" dinners is availble. Sumptuous breakfasts
are served in the dining room or al fresco in the courthyard. The
secluded courtyard offers protection on windy days and has a pleasant
outdoor lunch and barbeque area. On hot summer days the sparkling pool
provides cool comfort. Chilly evenings are spent relaxing next to the
fire or enjoying Estate wines in the cosy French bar: ``Au
Beaujolais".

Our
beds are top quality to ensure a comfortable night's sleep at the
guesthouse. All rooms have tea and coffee facilities on hand, with herbal
teas an added touch. A large country house with friendly staff to make
sure you are comfortable and happy. Rest in one of our 12 double,
individually decorated en-suite rooms, all with satellite TV and coffee
making facilities. Linen is provided as well as bath and swimming pool
towels.

de Vivre is situated only 45 minutes from the centre of Cape Town. The
major attractions and activities of the Cape peninsula are therefore only
a short distance away. These include Table
Mountian, Robben
Island, V
& A waterfront - or just the streets of Cape
Town with it's unique
blend of commerce and people. Franchhoek, the French Hugenot village with
its streets of up-market restaurants and genuine craft shops are a mere
20 minutes away and Paarl, the jewel of the Boland only 15 minutes away.
