Jabali means "Small Mountain". Jabali, as the name indicates is located at the foot of a mountain aptly named "Rhenosterkop" approximately 45 minutes from Pretoria. (We also have plenty Wild Pigs!) Jabali is a private nature reserve with spectacular views over Mpumalanga. Only 70 km from Pretoria, it is accessible and easy to reach by tar road. Jabali offers the most spectacular horse trails encompasing wetlands, mountain and grassland. Bring your own horse and tack or saddle one of our reliable, well trained horses. Our professional grooms will care for your horse as if it`s their own while you stay in a luxurious five star Canadian Log Cabin.

The African Thatch Chalet is spacious and very roomy. It consists of the main bedroom, a loft bedroom and a bathroom with outside shower. The open plan lounge is large with large sliding doors that open onto the very large porch. The roof is very high and this creates a very cool environment even on the hottest days. The thatch chalet has it's own Weber braai, but you are welcome to use the braai at the entertainment area. The chalet is fully fitted and serviced. Approximately 50 steps away is the central entertainment area with a sparkling pool and lapa, shared with the Canadian Log Cabin. The Canadian Log Cabin provides a special ambiance. Cosy and very different with magnificent views over Jabali, this is an experience that you will not easily forget. The log cabin sleeps up to 6 people (4 adults and 2 children). The log cabin consists of 2 bedrooms and a loft with a stunning outside shower. The porch is comfortable and very cosy. 30 Steps away is the central entertainment area with a sparkling pool and lapa that you share with the Thatch Chalet.

There are many different ways that you can enjoy yourself at Jabali. Although Jabali is primarily a horse riding destination, there are many other ways to enjoy yourself. Jabali has more than 34 km road to travel by horseback or mountain bike. If you prefer the less formal roads and require a more difficult and challenging route, then you can follow the myriad of paths that crisscross Jabali. Jabali has a clear pool that you can laze in for hours or you can even enjoy a dip in the warm dams. Our mountain is one of the best Para Gliding and Hang Gliding locations in South Africa. We can teach you to hang glide and you can enjoy the most spectacular views tandem jumping with professionals. Hang gliding is only available weather permitting.
