Experience
the tastes and sights and sounds of the restful Midlands, where
time is taken to make real food, where you can create precious things,
cherish the KZN Midlands countryside and live life to the fullest.
Experience the sensation of opening sleepy eyes in the guest suites, each
individually decorated with the crisp simplicity of real cottons and
other individual touches. Experience each day as a gift and savour every
second. Create memories that you will treasure forever. The pace here is
slower than you might be used to. Take the time to doze in the sun next
to the pool, as the scent of herbs and lavender perfume the Midlands’
breeze. Take a slow stroll through this Mildands garden, or browse
through the art gallery. Sip a frothy cappuccino, sample a garden-fresh
salad or savour a hearty breakfast on the wooden sun deck of the coffee
shop. Take the time to re-evaluate what life has to offer…there’s
always tomorrow to rush. Seating around the beautiful limestone fireplace
provides the visitor with an ideal spot from which to admire the
masterful bronzes of the many local sculptors of the area. A dedicated
section for the local vibrant ceramics of Ardmore.
For
the nature lover a stroll around the farm may lead to sightings of
the Crowned Crane, Reed Buck, Porcupine, or Black-Backed Jackal. A
cup of coffee on the deck under the trees will reward the observant
guest with a sighting of the endangered Dwarf Drakensberg Chameleon.
For the less energetic, there is always the steam room and Jacuzzi
in which to unwind. Being centrally located in the Midlands, most activities
are right on our doorstep and can be easily arranged whether it is
for a round of golf, horse riding, mountain biking, trout fishing or
hiking
in the drakensberg. Of course, there is always the Midland’s
Meander whose
route will guide you through the most beautiful countryside and expose
the exceptional talent of the artists and crafters who choose to live
here.
