Ilanga Private Game & Nature
Reserve - Accommodation
near Brits, North West Province, South Africa
At
ILANGA Private Game & Nature Reserve we relish the opportunity to
pamper our guests – making every individual feel special and totally at
home. Guest numbers are strictly regulated – up to a maximum of 24 –
to ensure that you enjoy the highest level of personalised, friendly
service. We are proud to say that our visitors arrive as guests and leave
as friends! Offset against the natural beauty and abundant wildlife,
ILANGA offers warm home comforts in tastefully understated African-styled
twin lodge and thatched bungalow suites with full en-suite bathrooms. In
the tranquil settings of the Main Lodge and Camp Grounds, guests can feel
the stress of city life slipping away. Escape the blazing African summer
sun by plunging into the ice-blue Central Court pool or, in winter,
snuggle up to the roaring fire in the beautifully appointed Lounge. A
favourite spot for guests to meet and mingle is the Weaver’s Bar, where
tales of the day’s adventures are swapped and new friendships are
forged, relaxing around the central boma fire until the next gastronomic
feast is served.

double or single rooms and an own bathroom, some seperated and some
directly connected to the main building. This encures that your stay
at Ilanga is intimate, secluded and comfortable. The chalets are
surrounded by bushveld which contains a diverse mixture of fauna and
flora and this contributes richly to the bushveld experience. All
chalets are fully serviced each morning and are located within
comfortable walking distance from the main lodge. Meals are served at
the main lodge. Friendships are developed around the fire under
African sky.
The
worldwide increase in conservation awareness has revolutionised the
concept of a safari. ILANGA eco-safari adventures now offer you the
thrill of the “hunt” – tracking down Africa’s wild animals in
their natural environment – without upsetting the delicate balance
of nature. The international conservationists’ credo applies:
“Take only photographs, leave only footprints. Daily game drives are
conducted by experienced guides, whose expertise and knowledge extends
from a intimate understanding of the ways of the larger mammals,
including zebra, blue wildebeest and giraffes right down to the
smallest creatures scurrying through the bush. Discover the
transformation of the bushveld after a summer thunderstorm, from the
sweet smell of the grasses and the barking of Zebras to the high
pitched call of the Black Backed Jackal in the early evening. Each
sound becomes relevant and every movement demands attention. This is
ILANGA at its best.
