However, despite being a winter rainfall area, there are also many lovely warm intervals in between the rainy days. A two minute walk from the houses takes one to the world famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain. A 2 hour walk from the house would take one to the summit of the mountain. Lovers of nature would be hard pressed to find a better place from which to explore the beauty of South Africa's natural flora and third taste.
