As the name suggests, raucous Trumpeter Hornbills are frequent visitors. Hornbill House is situated in the quiet residential area of St. Lucia, within walking distance of the beach and the estuary mouth. Guests have the use of the salt water swimming pool and the barbecue facility as well as the lounge with television. There is ample secure parking in the grounds. The three tastefully decorated, comfortable double en-suite bedrooms (twin beds), each have their own private sitting out area overlooking the gardens. They are equipped with ceiling fans. Tea and coffee making facilities available. All bedrooms are en-suite with showers

Things to do in the area include :- Big 5 game viewing, night drives, kayaking, estuary boat cruises to view the crocs and hippo as well as birds. Snorkelling (28km to Cape Vidal), beach and deep sea fishing, whale and turtle watching in season, off-road, self drive experience, croc centre, horse riding and golf or just browse around the shops in the village. After participating in the above mentioned, you could be sure of finding a place to quench your thirst in one of the many spots in the village!
