Hippo Hideaway - Accommodation in St Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal, South AfricaThe resort comprises 20 rooms and sleeps a total of 63 people. The accommodation consists of 12 two bedroom 4-sleepers, 7 one bedroom 2-sleepers and 1 honeymoon suite. Each room has its own kitchen and bathroom. 2-sleepers consist of 1 air-conditioner whilst the 4-sleepers consist of 2 air-conditioners. Each room has a flat screen television on which 10 DStv channels are available. Toiletries from the lovely Thandeka range are supplied in all rooms and are replenished when necessary. All rooms are fully serviced by the Hippo Hideaway staff and all linen except beachtowels is supplied.

Hippo Hideaway - Accommodation in St Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa There resort has a large central Boma with wooden bench sets as well as sitting hammocks for the relaxation of guests. The Boma looks out over the resorts swimming pool which is designed for both adults and children. There is also a wooden sundeck equipped with wooden bench sets and umbrellas which look out over the resorts gardens. As the resort leads onto the estuary a wide range of both animals and birds can be seen on the front lawns. Fishing from the bank or Jetty is about 50 metres from the front of the resort. Things to do in the area include :- Big 5 game viewing, night drives, kayaking, estuary boat cruises to view the crocs and hippo as well as birds. Snorkelling (28km to Cape Vidal), beach and deep sea fishing, whale and turtle watching in season, off-road, self drive experience, croc centre, horse riding and golf or just browse around the shops in the village. After participating in the above mentioned, you could be sure of finding a place to quench your thirst in one of the many spots in the village!
