The
Hilton Hotel has been welcoming guests since 1936 and has a long and
proud history of warm hospitality. The hotel is privately owned and its
distinctive Tudor style architecture adds elegance to this fine building
which is set in seven acres of beautiful gardens. The Hilton Hotel is
situated in the small town of Hilton and a mere 500 metres from the
Johannesburg/Durban national highway. Just an hour's drive from the
popular coastal resort of Durban and only 12 km from Pietermaritzburg,
the administrative centre of KwaZulu Natal. Hilton is the gateway to the
popular Midlands Meander Arts and Craft route and the magnificent
Drakensberg Mountain Range. The hotel is an ideal venue for both business
and pleasure and has hosted many weddings, functions and special
occasions.

The
Hilton Hotel has 38 guest rooms with private bathrooms, all of which
are equiped with a radio and TV (including MNet and DSTv), a telephone
(with facilities for an internet connection) and tea and coffee making
facilities. We provide room service until 9:30pm.
The following services /
facilities are available to all our guests: Safety
deposit at reception, Wake up calls, Secure parking, Same day laundry
facilities. Reception staff are available between 06h30 and 11h30. A
night porter is available outside these hours.
The
Tudor Terrace comprises a tennis court and swimming pool with private
bar facilities and outside braais or BBQs. Our sheep on a spit is a
speciality. Regular live shows including Sunday jazz bands are sure to
keep you entertained. The Tudor Terrace is an ideal venue for almost
any type of outdoor function including vehicle launches, modelling
shows, casual parties, weddings or outdoor conferences. Pietermaritzburg
has a rich heritage of museums and galleries, over 39 National
Monuments, and an architecture strongly influenced by the British
Colonial era. The city has gone to great lengths to maintain it’s
predominantly Victorian/Edwardian character and standing out among the
many red-brick Victorian and Edwardian is the City Hall – one of the
largest all-brick buildings in the Southern Hemisphere. Bring the
local history alive by taking one of the self-guided Town Trails. The
surrounding areas offers many tourist routes such as: The Battle
Fields. The Majestic Drakensberg. Country Routes like the Midlands
Meander, Boston Beat, the Sakabula Circuit and the Sani Saunter.
The Natal Beaches - a visit to the beautiful coastline of Kwazulu
Natal is only an hour away.
