Heuglins
on Winmarleigh Farm Accommodation
near White River, Mpumalanga is a small get-away Bed & Breakfast house just
outside White
River in Mpumalanga. The guest house offers B&B
facilities close to many amenities but retaining a historic character
within a secure, well-wooded area. The main Heuglins house was built in
1920 from unbaked brick. It was one of the first farm houses in the
White River area. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and you are
assured of a "home-from-home" feeling when you drive through
the gates.

Our
cottages are beautifully sited offering a private view across the valley
on to the White River Golf Course and beyond. Named after birds that nest
on Winmarleigh Farm, they were designed in a similar style to the main
farmhouse, which was built in 1920 of unbaked brick. It was one of the
first farmhouses built in the area. Our cottages currently include
Barbet, Ibis, Sunbird and now we have Cuckoo, a comfortable but not as
lavishly furnished cottage. Each cottage at Heuglins offers a large, well
appointed bedroom and sitting area with under floor heating and a
spacious bathroom with a shower and bath. Telephone, fax and email
facilities are available at the main house.
Close
to Heuglins Guest House and in the White River area we have a 18 hole
championship golf course. The
gardens of Winmarleigh Farm are a peaceful retreat for the weary
traveller, and guests are encouraged to make use of the pool to cool down
on hot summer afternoons. Lush tropical wilderness intermingles with sunny
English roses and winter-blooming azaleas in our gardens - guests are
welcome to explore them and the surrounding environment - walking, bird
watching, or just relaxing in the peaceful environment. There is plenty to do in the area too. Kruger
National Park. The Big
Five as well as numerous other species can be seen here. The closest gate is Numbi Gate (40km) but the recommended entry gate is Paul Kruger Gate (70km).
Shangaan
Cultural Village 30km away. The gold mining town of Barberton (close to the Swaziland border) is 83km to the south.
45km to the north is Sabie, surrounded by many spectacular waterfalls and pine forests.
To
mention but a few.
