The thatched country complex offers warm and hospitable accommodation in six double rooms, all en-suite and all featuring a jaccuzzi spa. Honeymoon suite. Also four self-catering cottages. self catering units all freestanding with jacuzzi spa baths en suite all overlooking the river al are double units with queen size beds This is the ideal base to experience the arts and crafts of the Midlands Meander, or to explore the military memories of the Battlefields Route.

Here you are invited to unwind away from the hustle and bustle of big city life. There are several scenic riverside walks, bird watching, trout fishing in the river or in nearby dams, and swimming in crystal clear pools. The more energetic can indulge in golf, horseriding, cycle touring and country hikes. Golf, bird-watching, horse-riding, pleasant cycle trips and trout fishing (in the area where trout were first introduced to south Africa - Balgowan) are all available in the immediate vicinity. If that is not enough for you, then of course there is the "Midlands Meander". Throughout the Midlands small cottage industries and shops abound where the discerning traveler can find many things if interest, from art and curios to hand-crafted furniture. Being centrally situated, Hawklee offers the best opportunity to visit these sites.
