Hakunamatata which means "No Problem" is situated 30 minutes from Johannesburg and Pretoria in the Muldersdrift/Honeydew area, near the Cradle of Mankind. Our fully secured 21 acre estate features luxury accommodation, a fully staffed health spa, conference and wedding facilities. Set in rolling lawns with water features where indigenous birds abound, filled with trees and fragrant flowers we invite you to experience the ultimate in exclusivity at a country estate with a difference. Our decor boasts a combination of ultra-modern and African flair, original ethnic artefacts and paintings. Rustic elements include African prints, recycled glass, wrought iron, thatch and carved wood. At night, the light of burning torches and the tranquillity of the Highveld countryside enhances this most picturesque African rural setting. We offer guests luxurious accommodation, health spa treatments and transport. Tours include: an African village, Elephant Sanctuary, guided tour on horseback to the Cradle of Mankind, hot air ballooning and a Golfers Day.

Hakunamatata has 4 luxurious Kayas, surrounded by lush gardens and water features. Three of the Kayas are double storeyed. Kaya 1: Sleeps 4 in two double en-suite bedrooms with a dining room, TV (M-net), lounge, bar area, fireplace and braai area outside. The kitchen is fully self-contained with modern appliances. The dining room area overlooks ponds. Kaya 2 (Honeymoon Suite): Sleeps 2 with an upstairs en-suite bedroom, lounge, TV (M-net), bar area, fireplace and braai area outside. The kitchen is fully self-contained with modern appliances. The deck area overlooks a large pond. Kaya 3 and 4 are our latest editions and very romantic. Both share a large deck area at the entrance with two wooden hammocks, table and chairs where breakfasts or sundowners can be enjoyed. Kaya 3: Smaller chalet, sleeps 2, with an upstairs bedroom. Consists of a lounge with TV (M-net) and fireplace, in - and outside shower. A small deck area on stilts overlooks a large pond. Kaya 4: Smaller chalet sleeps 2 with 2 single beds and a seating area with TV (M-net). The bathroom has an inside jet bath for two and a private outside shower. A small deck area on stilts overlooks a large pond.

In our idyllic surroundings, our health spa offers quests a variety of health and beauty therapies such as massages, reflexology, body wraps, anti stress programmes, facials,aromatherapy, manicures and pedicures. Guests are welcome to spend the day or come for specific programmes, some of which are given under a thatched lapa outdoors. Three different venues are available plus a large terrace area. We cater from 40 to 150 guests or 340 for a casual set-up. Your special day! In the garden, under thatch or in our beautifully decorated Egret Room. Morning, afternoon or evening, say Yes. The venue is yours for you and your wedding guests. Our wedding co-ordinator will assist you in choosing your meals, advise you on flowers and decorating. For your conference, we offer a choice of 7 venues seating from 4 to 150 delegates depending on your requirements and the room selected. All standard equipment such as flip charts, an overhead projector, a pointer and a PA system is available in each venue. Our breakaway rooms provide the ultimate in understated elegance and atmosphere for guests to study or exchange ideas. We cater for full and half day conferences which include tea, coffee and muffins on arrival and, depending on the package chosen a 3 course lunch. We can also provide you with a full cash bar should your delegates wish to stay for drinks after a hard day's work.
