They are adjacent to a nature reserve and the well known Boland hiking trail starts close by. The flora florisches in this area and hiker even be lucky to spot the tracks of the rare Cape mountain leopard.   Glenconner offer exclusive, guided horse rides for experienced riders, in the Jonkershoek valley, Stellenbosch. Rides take place in magnificent mountains, fynbos, forests and vineyards. Trails are between one and three hours long with a break for refreshments next to a mountain stream.

They are close to excellent restaurants and wine estates and ideally situated for exploring Cape Town (40 minutes away), Franschhoek and Paarl or the beaches of Strand and Gordons Bay (25 minutes). The wine and gourmet delights to be found on the wine routes of Wellington, Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch.
