Country House offers 14 luxury rooms - most lead out onto balconies or
private patios. All rooms have expected luxuries and amenities including
satellite TV, direct dial telephone. Some also feature fire places, under
carpet heating and air-conditioning. The new Villa Suites offer the
ultimate in luxury. Franschhoek Country House is very, very proud to
announce the opening of our new Villa Suites, Villas Restaurant and Wine
Cellar. The ambience is one of a French provincial village, complete with
water features, fountains, cobblestones and olive trees. All suites enjoy
spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, fountain courtyard and
swimming pools.
The
in-house Monneaux Restaurant is rated as one of South Africa's best
and serves an inspired fusion of Western and Eastern influences. The
Monneaux Restaurant is listed as one of the "Top 10 Restaurants
in South Africa" by Eat Out for the year 2001 and 2002!
Also voted one of the "Top 100 Restaurants in South Africa"
by Wine Magazine for 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004! Lunch is
served on the magnificent fountain terrace and dinner in the relaxed,
yet elegant dining room. The wine list emphasizes some of the top
wines of the region.
