Set in the picturesque village of Montagu on the scenic Route 62, Four Oaks Guest House and Templeton’s restaurant is housed in a National Monument dating back to 1855. The thatch roofed building offers 4 luxury en-suite rooms with air-conditioning, satellite TV, DVD players and private entrances, all leading onto a courtyard which is shaded by two 100-year old pear trees. The owners, Stephen and Jo-mandi Templeton have turned this historical building into a wonderful gourmet retreat with the addition of a newly refurbished Templeton’s @ Four Oaks restaurant and the charming wine & cigar bar.

The Four Oaks has recently undergone a full room refurbishment with the attention to simplistic luxury. Each room is en-suite with air conditioning, heaters, TV and DVD players and tea & coffee facilities. All rooms have private entrances onto a leafy courtyard. Guests have access to a private secluded garden and pool deck where breakfasts, light lunches and dinner can be taken or just sit and relax and admire the surrounding mountains.

There is plenty to do in the area too. Golfing at any of three excellent golf courses nearby. Sport. E.g. Squash, tennis, rock climbing, fishing, horse riding. The Natural Hot mineral springs situated 2,7 km from the guesthouse offers outdoor swimming pools fed from a natural spring which provides water at an initial temperature of 43°C. Relax in the pools with its "healing powers". Walking trails for the nature lover varying from 2,4 km to 15,6 km through the beautiful kloof of the surrounding mountains. Montagu tractor and trailer trip to the summit of the Langeberg mountains is a must. Enjoy the serenity of the Klein Karoo, where the sun is always shining.
