green sugar cane fields of KwaZulu-Natal where the warm Indian Ocean

getting away and relaxing. The establishment is a boutique guesthouse
and all the rooms have luxury accommodation, designed to complement
the serene atmosphere and to re-enforce the charm of a classic
colonial ambiance. The classical design is accentuated by an allotment
of rooms that flatter several themes.

Each
room is well equipped with a luxury en-suite bathroom. Five Burnham has a
total of five rooms, four luxury and one family room. The dining
courtyard accommodates 14 guests and is accessible for a complete buffet
breakfast consisting of many sublime fruits, cereals, croissants and
yoghurts. An English breakfast is also available on request. Arrays of
tantalizing dishes are prepared additionally for lunch and dinner, all
you need to do is ask, and prime yourself for a wonderful feast. The
Terrace room is our large lounge and its French doors open up over the
pool area. We also have a smaller lounge perfect for snuggling up to a
good book. Our stunning pool area is surrounded by colourful flowers and
has a calming water feature. The built in braai is a centre point for
those long hot days around the pool.
Kwa-Zulu
Natal is rich in culture and diversity. All spheres of amusement are
effortlessly attainable and within range of Five Burnham. Familiarize
yourself with the speckled beaches and glimmering blue ocean backdrops
that are within tottering distance of the house with a ready-made
picnic basket especially assorted by our kitchen staff. Become
involved in the heated ethnicity of the Zulu culture through sites
such as Shaka Land in Zululand. The Indian market in Durban is an
exclusive area where one can obtain unique and rare items. The
splendor extends outwards into the hills and valleys where
incomparable encounters with Lions, Crocodiles, Rhino and other fierce
creatures can be experienced. Plunging inwards, submerge into the
depths of the aquatic realms of Sharks, Whales and tropical fish.
Scuba dive with bottlenose dolphins. Visit the Valley of a Thousand
Hills, the Drakensberg and Umgeni Bird Park. Micro light tours can
easily be arranged; these take flight from a landing strip on the
beach. Horse ride through the sugar cane fields and along Umhloti’s
protected beaches. White water raft down the Umkomaas River Valley and
Oribi Gorge. Play golf at a host of golf courses in the surrounding
vicinity. The closest being Mt Edgecomb (5 km), Beachwood Country Club
and your furtherest being Princess Grant 40 km's away.
