Fairlight House is an Accommodation with B&B and is situated in the beautiful village of Umdloti on the North Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. Just opposite is one of the finest bathing beaches in the area, which not only provides breath-taking views, but an abundance of water sports. The garden behind the house is dominated by two large milkwoods, a great place to shelter from the sun, although there are also sun-loungers around the swimming pool. The front of the house has a wooden deck running all along it, from where you can watch the surfers - all the rooms open onto it. Dolphins love the surf, too, and if you’re lucky you can swim with them. Bruce can lend you a boogie board and flippers. Inside, it is effectively a family home and luxury guest house rolled into one – plenty of light and air as befits a beach house, family snaps on the wall and a warm, welcoming vibe to it.

Rays of positive energy emanate from Michele and Bruce and their long-standing housekeeper Maria. Soak it up, then go forth and fish, surf or swim with a big smile on your face. Ten miles of heaven, a.k.a. Umdloti Beach, are but 40 paces from the house. Durban and the airport are both within half an hour’s drive.
