St Helena Bay is one of the most popular bays for whales to visit and calve. From August to November, there are frequent close encounters with Southern Right and sometimes even Humpbacked Whales! Schools of dolphins, (sometimes several hundred) can be seen at any time, chasing the schools of fish or just leaping from the waves with pure joy.

All cottages have showers in the bathrooms, spacious living / dining / kitchen areas with stoeps and braais overlooking the bay, all done in typical West Coast fisherman's style.
