Fish Hoek, Western Cape is a peaceful retreat set high upon
the fynbos-covered slopes of Clovelly mountain, overlooking the golf
course, and a short way from the charming town of Fish Hoek which has one
of the best swimming beaches in Cape Town. Dunvegan Lodge has direct
access to the hiking trails and caves of the Silvermine Nature Reserve
and is only a 12 minute walk from the beach. The Lodge is centrally
situated for visits to the Cape Town Waterfront, Stellenbosch Wine Route
and Cape Point Nature Reserve and is a short drive from the famous
jackass penguins at Boulders Beach. It is a 5 minute walk to the Clovelly
Country Club which boasts one of the finest 18-hole golf courses in the
peninsula, tennis courts, bowling greens, a restaurant and lovely bar.

Dunvegan
Lodge offers luxury self-catering or bed and breakfast accommodation in
spacious sunny rooms, each with modern en-suite bathrooms, TV with
satellite, telephone, hairdryer, safe and, for those chilly evenings,
underfloor heating and electric blankets. All linen and towels are
provided, the rooms are serviced daily and a full laundry service is
available. The flats and cottage each have a fully-fitted kitchenette and
lounge with direct access to lovely wooden decks and landscaped gardens.
Here one can laze around the solar-heated swimming pool and soak up the
African sun, and then enjoy a relaxing evening barbeque and sundowners
whilst watching the sun set into the distant Atlantic Ocean.
Breakfast
is your choice of English or Continental style plus a sumptuous spread
of fresh fruit, cereals, a selection of cheeses, croissants, muffins
or scones, tea/coffee and more. All rooms have tea/coffee making
facilities and off-street parking is provided. Cape Town is renowned
for its variety of seafood which is always available fresh from the
boats at nearby Kalk Bay Harbour or from excellent local restaurants.
From July to November the calm waters of False Bay plays host to
Southern Right Whales which are easily visible from many vantage
points along the coastline.
