Cypress Cottage - Accommodation in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape, South AfricaCypress Cottage Accommodation in Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape, South Africa is a well established and a small bed and breakfast. It is a old building and gives you a scene of the old-ish way of living. This takes you back to the early 19th century. After a hot - and possibly bothersome - drive to this historic Karoo town, it is an immense relief to be welcomed by people as easy-going and instantly likeable as the Palmés… and to be installed in a beautiful, early 1800s Cape Dutch cottage… and to find yourself minutes later, cold beer in hand, on a stoep with magnificent mountain views.

Riding is a great way to explore the countryside, especially the higher ground and more inaccessible regions. There's no better place to see the drama of the landscape, to learn about its geological evolution or to view the amazing setting of the town, or to watch the sun rise or set over the Plains of Camdeboo than from these extraordinary cliffs and crags. You may also be lucky enough to see the resident pair of black eagles circling at sunset.
