Most
of our cottages are equipped with double beds and sleeper coaches in
the sitting room. Others have twin rooms equipped with two single beds
per room. All the cottages have private entrances and secure
undercover parking. The comfort of our guests is ensured with a TV, an
en-suite bathroom/toilet and a small kichen. Each cottage has its own
private little garden with access to a sparkling swimming pool.
We
organise daily Birdwatching trips to the OPM-Prozesky Bird Sanctuary
(about 150 meters from our doorstep), plus 6 other birdings sites
(spots) within 20 km from our establishment. COSY COTTAGE B&B is a
Birder Friendly Establishment officially recognised by BirdLife South
Africa. We organise one-day tours to nearby attractions (also
Pilanesberg Nature Reserve and Lost City / Sun City) on request.
Buffelsvlei Wild Animal Park - Popular getaway with lots of animals
and birds to be seen on foot or game drives(about 12 km from
Potchefstroom). Boskop Dam Nature Reserve - Popular angling and picnic
site between Carltonville and Potchefstroom on the R501 (about 12.0 km
from Potchefstroom). Potchefstroom Lakeside Resort - Watersports,
fishing, mini-golf. Hiking Trails - The Summit, Boat & Paddle,
Mooirivier Pioneers' Route Inner City and Rooihaas trails make
Potchefstroom a favourite hiking destination. Vredefort Dome (about 20
km from Potchefstroom) 2000 million years ago a giant meteorite struck
the earth near the present day village of Vredefort creating a crater
80km in diameter and forcing the surrounding landscape into a
dome-like feature. This is the largest and oldest meteorite impact
site on earth and is soon to be nominated for World Heritage status.
