The garden is filled with fifteen different species of fruit trees - pears, figs and walnuts amongst others - and someone was swinging in a hammock contemplating the mountain.

There are unique geological features and alpine flowers at the south-western edge of the Drakensberg and they merit an explanation. What’s more, Tiffindell, the only ski resort in SA, is nearby, so be prepared for breathtaking snow-capped mountains come winter.
