Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse was started in 1997 and has been developed as gourmet getaway with six luxurious en suite double/twin rooms, 2 spacious suites with queen beds and separate lounges and one luxury suite with his and hers bathrooms, dressing room and fireplace in the lounge. All rooms have TV, separate bath (except room 8), separate shower and separate loos with cotton sheets, mohair blankets and heated under blankets and heated towel rails. Tea and coffee with homemade biscuits are also available in the rooms. Attention to detail is evident everywhere.

The Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse gives you endless opportunities for bird watching, hiking through the Berg, swimming in mountain rivers or riding on horseback along the mountain trails. Expert guides can also be arranged to take guests on their walks. Cookery classes are also offered. The Kamberg valley, home to the Fly-fishing Festival, is one of South Africa’s top fishing regions. The Little Mooi river, brimming with brown trout, runs through the Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse property, making this cosy getaway the perfect lure for professional and amateur fishing enthusiasts. Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse is an ideal base from which to explore the many other private dams and rivers in the area, including Highmoor, which offers trout fishing, and the Kamberg Nature Reserve.
