discerning traveller looking for peace, views and quality accommodation.
Our location on the slopes of the Kasteelberg mountain in Riebeek West,
was purposely chosen in order to offer these important qualities to our
guests. The location of the Riebeek Valley, lends itself to easy
accessibility to many surrounding areas of interest. The vistas, climate
and agriculture of this very special valley, mimic those found in the
sunny areas of the Mediterranean.

The
boutique concept of accommodation offers all the homely comforts at your
fingertips, leaving your precious time to be spent as you wish. All our
accommodation are named after the Homes of Kings. Take a trip from the
romance of Windsor to the sunshine of Kensington. The accommodation
comprises of private entries, beautifully equipped bathrooms with
enormous showers, overhead fans, minibars, hairdryers, satellite
television and individually designed suites (most of which have canopied
beds and private patios). There is a garden full of bird life and amazing
views - all of which can be savoured leisurely from the large poolside
patio.
Over
the last years, the Riebeek Valley has become the touristic centre of
the Swartland. In the pretty twin villages of Riebeek Kasteel and
Riebeek West a creative crowd of artists has settled. In Art Orchard
in Sarel Cilliers Street in Riebeek Kasteel you will find a
considerable collection of works by local artists and designers:
paintings, jewellery, pottery and glass objects, cast iron products
and much more. The town also impresses with its numerous, diligently
resored Victorian and Cape-Dutch houses. Many coffeeshops and
restaurants invite you to stay. The atmospere is peaceful and serene.
There is plenty to do in the area too. Hiking and Mountain Biking
on the mountain, as well as in the vineyards and wheatlands. Birding
is prolific and rewarding, even in the garden. Game Viewing on nearby
farms and nature reserves. Watersports which include canoeing on the
Berg River, sailing and windsurfing. Day Drives are numerous and
rewardingin pursuit of food, wine, shopping, arts and crafts, beaches,
fresh and saltwater fishing, spring flower routes and theatre.
