Rooms here are brand-new, light-filled, air-conditioned and six of them have doors opening out onto either side of the swimming pool. Each has Sara’s choice of a funky splash of colour: lime green, turquoise, yellow, pink and orange. She has enjoyed building up the guest house little by little and they both seem thoroughly happy in their South African family set-up, far from France and northern England. Chez Vincent’s is the only non-chain restaurant in town and is a comfortable, very friendly stopover before the next leg of your journey.
