in the picturesque Cowie Valley, Cavers Country Guest House in
Bedford, Eastern Cape offers guests a unique

fine stone, ivy-encased farmhouse was built in 1840 and has been in
Ken’s family for four generations.

Cavers Country Guest House with one of the most
beautiful gardens in South Africa, 16km from the scenic village of
Bedford.
A
stone double storey homestead, built in 1860, is used exclusively for
guests and offers 4 en-suite luxury bedrooms. A spacious lounge with
fire place, TV sitting room with honesty bar and a gracious dining
room overlooking the swimming pool, is for exclusive use of guests. A
private thatched garden cottage offers two spacious and charmingly
decorated en-suite bedrooms
From the Cavers Guest House kitchen comes fine
country cuisine. Farm lamb, beef and venison, prepared to your
preference with a home grown selection of fresh farm vegetables.
Candle-lit dinners are served in the dining room of the main stone
double storey homestead.
A
traditional barbecue around the pool or in the veld under the African
stars is also a favourite. English or Continental breakfasts are
served on the patio or in the guest dining room. Home-made bread,
butter, preserves, cheese and yoghurts are offer.The
garden enjoy three hectares of beautiful garden with a vast
variety of trees, shrubs and flowers. Having appeared in many
publications including 'Beautiful Gardens of South Africa' the Cavers
garden with it's two swimming pools blends in with the natural beauty
of it's surroundings and offers the opportunity to really relax.
