you the opportunity to view elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhinoceros and
whales. Game to be found include buffalo, rhinoceros, blue wildebeest,
giraffe, bontebok, eland and sable antelope, bushbuck, leopard and
other mammals.

could be expected in a place like this, accommodation at Buffalo
Hills is exceptionally comfortable and luxurious. The following
accommodation options are available: Private Camp Guests can relax in
4-star, luxurious safari lodges, en-suite tents or the Stone Cottage (a
historic homestead with 2 bedrooms, cozy lounge and fireplace). All rooms
have views over the game-filled plain. 2x Tented units with en-suite
Jacuzzi bathrooms 4x Luxury en-Suites 1x2 Bedroom Stone Cottage. Maximum
16 guests. Safari Tented Lodge. 6 Tented units overlooking the Bitou
River. These units are twice as big as the units at the Private Camp with
patio, twin/double rooms, en-suite Jacuzzi bathrooms, small lounge area.

Day
visits are available for guests whose budgets or time constraints
prevent them from staying overnight (advance bookings for day visits
are essential as visitor numbers must be limited in order to preserve
the natural integrity of the area). Guided 4x4 game drives, bird hikes
(more than 150 species), mountain bike trails, tracker walks,
astronomy evenings in a Stargazer`s Boma, fly fishing and other
exciting activities are offered. Most guests enjoy an invigorating
morning Guided Walk before tucking into a full English breakfast -
served in our colonial-style dining room at Buffalo Lodge. Lunch is
served by arrangement. Dining is informal and luxurious. Jungle Jack`s
Restaurant has already established a fine reputation for traditional
braais (BBQ`s) and game potjies (African meals prepared in
three-legged pots) and, in the adjoining Distillery, you can learn
about - and enjoy Buffalo Hills` already famous, award-winning Nyati
Mampoer. Dinner is taken in our Boma (the traditional African outdoor
cooking area). With sweeping views of the plains, you can watch the
rhinos and buffalo, impala and zebra graze as you enjoy a hearty and
satisfying meal. Dinner menus are designed around the traditional
South African braai (barbecue), with game a speciality. Buffalo Hills
is centrally situated to provide easy access to the many attractions,
golf courses and adventures of the Garden Route.
