They have a delightful Victorian suite with private entrance into a secluded garden. A spacious room with superb vaulted ceiling with an en suite bathroom. Two standard sized rooms with en suite bathrooms. A self-contained garden cottage. An elegant two room cottage set in its own garden, with bathroom facilities and a tastefully furnished sitting room. Breakfast is served either in the dining room or in the garden. Guests have the use of the spacious lounge and courtesy bar.

Briar Ghyll Lodge is well situated for guests to enjoy the delights of the well known "Midlands Meander". It is also close to all the major schools, the University, Hospitals and Royal Agricultural Show Grounds. Organized tours of the Historic Items of interest in and around Pietermaritzburg can be arranged. Several golf course are within easy reach as is a number of game reserves.
