Relax
and unwind next to the sparkling pool or in the sauna and jacuzzi. The
energetic can take an invigorating walk in the heart of nature filled
with varied birdlife, guaranteed to work up an appetite for the excellent
cuisine offered by the Family Böhm. The Country House is a perfect base
from which to explore the area which is rich in natural beauty. Visit
quaint Pilgrim`s Rest, a living museum dedicated to the frenzy of the
goldrush days. The Panorama Route to Blyde River Canyon offers
breathtaking views, and the sheer drops of the Escarpment creates
magnificent waterfalls in verdant vegetation. Game is in abundance in the
nearby Kruger National Park (only 20 mins. away) and in addition Dawn and
Night Safaris can be arranged, as well as balloon safaris, river rafting
and horse riding.
Various
activities can be arranged such as hot air ballooning 1000 feet above the
beautiful Sabie Valley, river rafting, quad biking, horse riding,
absailing to name just a few. The Country House also offers either
Panorama Tours to the Blyde River Escarpment and Kruger National Park
full Day or Half day tours in an airconditioned VW Microbus.30 minutes
drive to the Panorama Route with all the waterfalls, and 1 hour's drive
to the majestic Blyde River Canyon. Tours are conducted by a qualified
tourist guide with all necessary insurances and permits.
